Malaga airport hits record number of flights during Easter Week

This year, the airport continues to break its own records. It will operate almost 1,200 more flights this Easter than at this time last year.
With almost 5,900 flights scheduled, there will be more than 500 daily flights to and from the Costa del Sol, very similar to the high season in July and August.

EasyJet
EasyJet has reopened its base at Malaga-Costa del Sol airport for the summer with an 11% increase in seats compared to the previous summer. This season it operates five new routes. For the first time it is connecting with Marrakech and Rabat, it is also making its debut in Zurich and is adding Leeds Bradford and Newcastle in the United Kingdom.
Ryanair
Ryanair has already published its summer 2025 schedule for Malaga with 91 routes. The low-cost airline has a base in Malaga, from where it operates with 18 aircraft. New routes this summer are the connections from the Costa del Sol to Brno in Czech Republic, Lübeck and Münster in Germany. Also Teesside in England and Warsaw in Poland.
Vueling
Vueling, the Spanish low-cost airline, is adding an aircraft to its fleet at Malaga airport. There will be an increase in international destinations such as Amsterdam, London-Gatwick and Paris-Orly. It will also increase its domestic connections to the Canary Islands: Tenerife-North, Las Palmas and Fuerteventura.
Finnair
Finnair will offer up to eleven flights per week between Malaga and Helsinki this summer. This is the highest number of frequencies between a Spanish city and the capital of Finland. In addition, here will be up to three daily flights in high season connecting Malaga with Helsinki, Olulu and Rovaniemi.
Jet2.com
This summer Jet2.com has scheduled 70 flights a week to Malagafrom ten British cities. This translates into some 70 flights a week to the Costa del Sol Airport which is 8% more than last summer.
United Airlines
United Airlines will start operating flights between Malaga – Costa del Sol airport and Newark airport in New York from May 2025.
