La Moraga at Malaga airport

La Moraga restaurant, located in Terminal 3 at Malaga airport, has been appointed as the third best airport restaurant in the world, according to a report by U.S. television network CNN, which includes the best gastronomic places of airports on five continents.

They highlight Lamoraga is a “stylish Gastrobar serving contemporary tapas, desserts and other substantial creations.”

Only the restaurant One Flew South, at Atlanta Airport, and Hung’s Delicacies of Hong Kong airport appear before the restaurant at Malaga airport, followed by Plane Food, at London Heathrow, and Bubbles Seafood at the Dutch airport Schiphol in Amsterdam.

La Moraga Airport is one of the franchises of this network of restaurants, which already has plans to expand with new centres. Thus, the group La Moraga will open this summer their first restaurant in Madrid, to be followed by the opening of another restaurant in Frankfurt (Germany), which will open in October.

La Moraga has acquired national and international fame through their leading figure, the Chef Dani Garcia who designs the dishes and haute cuisine tapas. Who wants to sample his cooking outside the airport can visit his restaurant Calima located in the Hotel Gran Melia Don Pepe in Marbella, awarded two Michelin stars.
