Malaga airport-Costa del Sol has launched a campaign to promote the consumption of Andalusian products, especially the local products from Malaga, an area with a great wealth of sun-ripened food products, fruit, vegetables, raisins, wines, olive oils or fresh fish just to name a few.
The shops at the airport will offer local gastronomy and invite passengers to approach the culture of the region.
The campaign is titled “Taste Andalusia”; an initiative which offers passengers the opportunity to buy at the travel retail & duty free shops a selection of Andalusian products or sample the cuisine of the region in restaurants such as La Moraga Airport, O’Learys, Gambrinus or La Dehesa de Santa Maria.
In addition, the travel retail & duty free shops, located in one of the busiest points of Terminal 3, offer music, tastings, dance and other activities, in order to bring Malaga airport passengers closer to Andalusian culture.
It is noteworthy that 82 percent of flights operating in Malaga are international. Thus, is presented to the traveler outside the usual points of sale a “careful” selection of Andalusian high quality products composed of hams, oils, wines, brandies, liqueurs, ice cream, candy and many more.
As for entertainment activities, there will be traditional song and dance performances and even a traditional ham cutter, placed next to the oak barrels of wines from Malaga and Andalusia, next to the gates.
