From now on things are going to get easier for travellers on flights from Argentina to Malaga. The airlines Iberia and Aerolíneas Argentinas have announced a collaboration agreement. This will allow their customers to fly between Spain and Argentina with better internal connections through code-share flights.
What does codeshare mean?
A codeshare flight is an agreement between two or more airlines to jointly operate a certain route, very typical in airline alliances such as Star Alliance, SkyTeam and Oneworld. In this case, domestic flights in Spain will be operated by Iberia, while in Argentina they will be operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.
One-time reservation to make travel easier for flights from Argentina to Malaga

This new agreement between the two airlines will result in a smoother travel experience between Spain and Argentina. From now on only one reservation and one ticket is required instead of having to make two different reservations. This will simplify travel in both countries.
The agreement allows travellers arriving from Argentina to Spain to continue with the same ticket to 29 Spanish cities, including Malaga, without the need for additional operations for the internal sections.

Other Spanish cities included are for example Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, Granada, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza and Tenerife.
Conversely, travellers from Spain can use the same ticket to reach 37 destinations in the interior of the South American country operated from Buenos Aires. Among the Argentine cities included are Córdoba, Mendoza, Bariloche, Mar del Plata, Rosario, Ushuaia, Iguazú, Tucumán and El Calafate.
Connecting flights to the interior
Connections to the interior of Argentina will be available from the airports of Ezeiza and Aeroparque, while in Madrid the connection to the final destination will be via Terminal 4 of Madrid-Barajas.
Flights from Madrid to Malaga
Iberia currently operates three daily flights between Buenos Aires and Madrid, carrying over 2,000 passengers a day.

The fastest direct flight between Malaga Airport and Madrid takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. The flight distance between Malaga and Madrid is 431 km. There are an average of 3 to 7 daily flights between the capital and the Costa del Sol, depending on the season.
What other airlines offer flights from Argentina to Spain?
From Buenos Aires you can fly non-stop to Madrid with the airlines Iberia, Air Europa and Aerolíneas Argentinas. If your destination is Barcelona, you can choose between Iberia, Vueling and Level.
