Good news for travellers from the United Arab Emirates who are planning their holidays in Malaga and the Costa del Sol for summer 2025. Etihad Airways has announced that it will increase its flights to Spain by more than 30 per cent next year.
Spanish Etihad destinations in 2025
As part of its expansion, which includes 10 new destinations, the popular summer destination Malaga-Costa del Sol will also benefit. Specifically, the airline, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, connects the capital of the United Arab Emirates with three Spanish destinations: Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga.
The company will also introduce the new Airbus A321neo (LR) allowing for increased frequencies to other long-haul destinations, increasing flights to Spain from 23 to 33 weekly.
Etihad flights to Malaga summer 2025
The flights from Abu Dabi to Malaga-Costa del Sol will be available during the summer season, that is from June 3 to October 23. Specifically, there will be an increase from 3 to 5 flights per week, which represents a 71.7% increase in seat availability compared to 2024.
In June and September flights will be available on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. In July and august there will be almost daily a flight except Wednesdays and Saturdays. The flight time is 7 hours and 25 minutes. The distance is 3583 miles.
