Malaga Airport-Costa del Sol this week expands its already vast range of international destinations with a new connection to Iraq.
Specifically, to the city of Mosul, thanks to a Turkish Airlines flight with a stop in Istanbul. Turkish Airlines thus keeps increasing its offer on the Costa del Sol with the opening on Thursday of this new connection to Mosul (Iraq) aimed at travelers with high purchasing power. The flight will have two weekly frequencies.
From Turkish they explain the reasons for a route to a destination that is almost always news for its political instability and conflict. “There are destinations that are purely entertainment, but the company also is looking for a traveler whose profile is also the business man,” company sources said.
“The profile of passengers coming from these countries is the traveler with very high purchasing power. Iraq also responds to this mixed profile, as its political and financial situation attracts visitors for economic reasons, but also more and more tourists,” as stated by the airline.
Turkish Airlines operates in Malaga since last April 27 when was opened first the first direct flight between Costa del Sol and Istanbul, which has already four weekly flights.
Turkish, which belongs to Star Alliance, is flying to 187 destinations worldwide, of which 41 are national and 146 international.
