Malaga airport will offer again from this Friday direct flights to New York. The American company Delta Air Lines, in joint venture with Air France-KLM, will resume Friday, June 6, nonstop flights between the capital of the Costa del Sol and JFK airport.
The airline stated that more than 2,000 seats a week will be offered to and from the United States, a figure that is higher than last year.
Delta started in Malaga airport in 2008; an activity that began with the idea of staying throughout the year, but since 2009 is offered only in high season.
During June there will be four possibilities a week to fly from Malaga to New York and vice versa, every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, being the take-off scheduled at 11.50 am from Malaga. From July the frequencies will be increased to five per week, with departure to the Big Apple every Wednesday.
Americans travelling to the Costa del Sol will depart from JFK Terminal at 8.40 pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays in June and also on Tuesdays from July.
The only direct flight between Malaga and New York will be operated with a B757-200 plane with capacity for 167 passengers.
Some developments with which Delta aims to improve their service are a wireless connection allowing passengers to connect to the Internet throughout your trip; in addition, this route will have 15 seats in BusinessElite. Also customers flying in ‘Economy Comfort’, the premium service of Delta in economy class, can enjoy additional legroom and 50% more recline than standard seats of the ‘Economy’ class on international flights, and priority boarding.
