Delta Airlines has resumed last Saturday direct flights between Malaga and New York, a route in which the company will offer 1,700 seats a week. Initially the company will operate four flights a week, which will be increased to five from 1st of August.
The company said that this route is popular among leisure travellers and has already recorded a significant demand. Last year Delta Airlines carried more than 22,000 passengers between the airports of Malaga and the United States in their service of the summer season, recording an average occupancy of 85% on this route.
Currently, Delta Airlines offers more than 400 routes in 88 countries, 29 of them across the Atlantic. In addition, Delta offers nearly 500 weekly flights to 47 destinations in South America.
