The new Malaga airport train station is situated just outside the new Terminal T3 and has two platforms. One towards Malaga capital city to the east and the other towards Fuengirola, which is the last stop, to the west, passing through the main holiday destinations on the Costa del Sol, such as Torremolinos, Benalmadena, etc.
The platforms are located underground, but it is a very spacious station with plenty of natural light as it is partially built with glass walls and roof.
If you head to Malaga centre, you will reach the Maria Zambrano Station which is just 4 stops from Malaga Airport Station. Here is where you can change to take the long-distance trains to any city in Spain, whether it's Granada, Seville, Madrid or Barcelona.
On the other hand, if you would like to visit Marbella and Puerto Banus you will need to catch a bus, book a transfer or go by taxi.
