Malaga airport closed the semester with the highest passenger growth in ten years

Through the terminal Malaga-Costa del Sol have passed 5.8 million passengers, 12.9% more than the same period last year.

Malaga – Costa del Sol Airport has closed the first half of the year with the largest increase in passengers in this new century. The terminal has received until June 5.8 million passengers, representing a 12.9% increase over the same period last year, according to figures released yesterday by Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA).

On the runway has been recorded in that period a total of 51,049 operations, i.e. 7% more.

Currently, Malaga airportĀ is Spain’s fourth busiest behind Madrid-Barajas, with 23.9 million passengers (0.8% more), Barcelona-El Prat with 15.8 million people (20.6% more) and Palma de Mallorca with 9.2 million tourists (7.2% more).
