Malaga airport ends the 1st quarter with an 8% increase in passengers

Malaga airport has closed the first quarter of 2011 with an increase in passengers of 7.9 percent and an increase in the number of operations of five percent.

In the first three months of the year a total of 2,098,082 travelers passed through the Malaga airport grounds, of which 2,077,709 used commercial flights, representing an increase of 7.3 percent. More than 557,000 customers traveled from Spanish cities to the Costa del Sol (+4.3 percent) and over one and a half million did on international flights (+8.4 percent), mostly to or from the UK, Germany and France.

In addition, in March, just one year after the commissioning of the T3, has been an increase in passengers of 9.2 percent over the same month last year.
