BA and Iberia double points in their frequent flyer programs

Iberia and British Airways (BA) celebrate their merger into International Airlines Group (IAG) with double points on their respective frequent flyer programs – Iberia Plus and Executive Club – on routes from Madrid to London, Barcelona-London and Malaga-London, said the Spanish airline in its web.

In addition, frequent flyers of Iberia will also obtain double points on BA flights to Asia and the Middle East, while the customers of British will benefit from double points on the airline’s flights to Central and South America, covering 18 destinations from Madrid Barajas.

The merger will enable the customers of both companies an easier access to 204 destinations, with better connections and schedules, as Iberia and BA coordinate their networks.

It will also be possible to combine the two airlines rates and choosing those best suited. Customers of both companies will have access to over 120 VIP airport lounges worldwide of Iberia and BA.

IAG is the third largest European airline behind Lufthansa and Air France-KLM, and sixth in the world by turnover, with 14,000 million Euros, a fleet of 406 aircrafts and about 55 million passengers a year.
